A witty and entertaining romantic suspense. Library of Congress librarian, Aubrey Sullivan, loves books and is happy in her job. That is until the day she is shot at and abducted from the library. FBI agent, Jack Mitchell is being framed for a murder he didn't commit, so he decides to go AWOL and go it alone to find out who is behind the frame-up. That leads him to librarian Aubrey Sullivan, who has a "photographic" memory. Aubrey has seen something that she shouldn't have and now has a Columbian drug lord, the police, hit-men and godknowswhoelse after her. Then of course there's the macho jerk who has abducted her.
Aubrey is a feisty, resourceful heroine who never stops talking, much to Jack's annoyance. Jack is a surly, uncommunicative man of action, who's job it is to keep the biggest pain on God's earth alive long enough for them both to figure out exactly what it is she knows. The thing is the bad guys always seem to be able to out-guess them, so who is tipping them off?
Fast paced and amusing.
