This review is from: The Routledge Dictionary of Latin Quotations: The Illiterati's Guide to Latin Maxims, Mottoes, Proverbs, and Sayings (Latin for the Illiterati) (Paperback)
Similar to the same author's shorter Latin for the Illiterati but this concentrates specifically on longer quotations (there is no section on words and short expressions). Like Gaul it is divided into three parts: proverbs & maxims, mottoes & phrases, and quotations. There is also a brief index of English to Latin phrases for a small subset.

Each Latin entry has a simple English translation with no extra information other than the name of the author where appropriate. It's really more of a reference book rather than a dip-into book for this reason, but having said that, many of the quotations will probably be sufficiently obscure to never come across in normal reading. If you are of like mind with me however then you will enjoy opening this book at random and picking out a few phrases.
