This review is from: The Byzantine World (Routledge Worlds) (Paperback)
The Byzantine World offers the latest views of scholars working in the fields of Byzantine studies, history, theology, architectural history, literature, and history of art. The book, which covers the Byzantine Empire from 700 AD to the inevitable fall of Constantinople in 1453, offers much to those who are coming to the Byzantine world afresh as it does those who have a good understanding, but who are also guaranteed a greater insight into this complex culture. The Byzantine World is an excellent innovative, down to earth publication. A must for any student.

If we want Byzantine studies to gain a wider audience we need to find other publishing strategies.
