4.0 out of 5 stars Suggested for business and art students and arts professionals
I've been reading this book for my International Art Business class and thus far it has been quite eye opening. The author gives a comprehensive look at how the art market functions, how it is monitored, art business law, and a range of other topics that prove useful in understanding the state of contemporary art through a business perspective.

Not as academic as the title may lead you to believe. But worth scanning through its pages. Buy if you want an overview. A bit dated too would benefit from a "revisited version".

I recommend it to anyone interested in the subject. It's a slight be challenging to comprehend for someone (like myself) with very little background in business but has already expanded my understanding of how business, in markets in general, is analyzed.
Cheers!
