This is an excellent summary of all the major issues in current musical scholarship. Extremely useful, informative and up-to-date articles; relevant bibliographies; and gives a good guide as to where current thinking has got to in the various different strands of musicology. An essential handbook for all music students and researchers.

This review is from: Musicology: The Key Concepts (Routledge Key Guides) (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for any music students or researchers who need up-to-date definitions of the key terms within musicology today. This book was an absolute god-send for my MA, I can't be positive enough! It's very easy to read and easily digestible, which is important as its set out as a sort of dictionary. Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reference, 20 Oct 2011
This review is from: Musicology: The Key Concepts (Routledge Key Guides) (Paperback)
Fantastic book for referencing musicology. The book is laid out like an expanded dictionary and is perfect for university because if the musicology lecturer mentions a concept in passing or you want a bit more detail on a concept such as formalism, this book is the first port of call
