The dialogue in the book does not always follow the CD.In my opinion this is not a book for beginers but if you have a fair knowledge the CD is useful in tuning the ear to Bulgarian speach.

I own both the paper back and kindle version of this book. The paper back and cd version is very good for people who are starting to learn Bulgarian. The kindle version is another matter all together, it is riddled with errors and a lot of them are only detectable if you already know a bit about the language.
If you are an absolute beginner then don't buy the kindle version, it will not be helpful, if you are not an absolute beginner then don't buy the kindle version, it will make you go mental.

Living in Bulgaria I am learning the language by attending weekly lessons. This book has become a well thumbed book. It explains (as much as it can) the grammar of the language and then has exercises for you to carry out. I would not recommend this book exclusively as some parts are quite difficult to grasp - the grammar of the Bulgarian language is very complicated - but, as an additional textbook, I have found it extremely useful and refer to it quite often.
