This review is from: Thinking Arabic Translation: A Course in Translation Method: Arabic to English: Course Book (Thinking Translation) (Paperback)
I used this text during my translation project at university and have never let go of it since. It is ideal for anyone with an understanding of Arabic who wants to learn about translation.

The textbook style of the book with all its examples really adds to the value of this text and helps it stand out from all the other texts that are steeped in theory. The book is also notable for its comprehensivenes. Other texts are confined to one genre of translation, i.e. legal/literary translation. In this respect, it's the best book i've seen out there.

It is very practical and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to translate, either professionally or just as a hobbie, with a prior understanding of Arabic.

It is indeed a comprehensive practical course in translation for advanced students of Arabic. As a self study student I found this book immensely helpful.
