4.0 out of 5 stars Still highly valuable, 17 Dec 2009

This review is from: Museums and Their Visitors (Heritage: Care-Preservation-Management) (Hardcover)
Although this book has been first published 15 years ago, it will still be valuable to readers interested in museums and museum studies.

For professionals, it will still be a valuable pointer towards key areas they have to raise their awareness about to see their museum succeed in the current environment. Even if the scholarship has moved on from 1994, this book is rather concise and an accessible read which is also useful.

For readers in museum studies, this book is a good landmark of the academic research and a clue about the landscape museum towards the middle of the 1990s.

There is a useful bibliography and a glossary to help with the understanding of the concepts.
