5.0 out of 5 stars An essential read for all media nd social science scholars, 20 May 2001
By A Customer
The television may appear as a simple technology but it is indeed a complex device in which we take for granted as essential components of our daily lives. The author demonstrates in his book how we can develop a whole set of relationships and dependencies with the television. I now have a new perspective of looking at televisions and other media technologies. It makes me think of television as a pet which makes this book both an enlightening and interesting read for all media and social science scholars.
