If you are familiar with the enneagram and your own enneagram type this book is a great tool for personal transformation. For those not familiar with the enneagram the book has a brief introduction to the enneagram. The releases and affirmations are a quick and straightforward way of working with ourselves without the need to read a lot of theory. I like the simple and yet profound approach this book gives to personal development and positive change.
Sample releases for different types:
1 - I now release holding myself and others to impossible standards.
2 - I now release all feelings of hate and resentment toward others.
3 - I now release being obsessed by my hostile feelings towards others.
4 - I now release turning my anger and aggressions against myself.
5 - I now release all fearfulness of the world around me.
6 - I now release my fear of being abandoned and alone.
7 - I now release all reckless and destructive impulses.
8 - I now release all anger, rage and violence from my life.
9 - I now release not taking an active interest in my own life.
and sample affirmations:
1 - I now affirm that I can make mistakes without condemning myself.
2 - I now affirm that I own all of my feelings without fear.
3 - I now affirm that I have value regardless of my achievements.
4 - I now affirm that I am not defined by my feelings.
5 - I now affirm that I am secure and grounded in the reality of my own life.

The book has a chapter on each of the nine types. Each chapter has a short description of the psychological dynamics of the type, which is followed by the 25 transformations (16 releases and 9 affirmations) for the type. The book ends with a chapter on enneagram and healing. An easy and highly recommended read for anyone interested in changing their life for the better with the wisdom of the enneagram.

Worth getting if you're really into the enneagram and know your type. Mainly a list of simple affirmations that strike a chord, more self-help and spiritual than other enneagram stuff that focuses on the personality types descriptions.
