DOPPLEGANGER (TEDDY B) - See all my reviews
There have been many books chronicling the conception, construction, and completion in 1825, of the Erie Canal, one of the greatest engineering projects ever undertaken and the crucial link between the Eastern Seaboard, the Western Interior and The Great Lakes. However, Peter Bernstein's masterful recounting of this stunning achievement does not leave an unsatisfied appetite or need to pursue further reading on the subject.

"The Wedding of the Waters" is replete with all you need to understand, appreciate and enjoy, this sterling yarn of the 'gutsy' enterprise that made such an immense contribution to the wealth and importance of New York.

A 'thundering' good book.
