This review is from: Margrethe Mather and Edward Weston: A Passionate Collaboration (Hardcover)
The roots and development of artists and their early influences are often underestimated. Such is the case with the photographer Edward Weston. Mather, as stated clearly in text was Weston's mentor and social liberator in the circles they frequented in the 10's of the last century. The texts are highly readable, informative and very well researched and referenced. The plates are outstanding reproductions. This volume is a significant contribution to the study of Edward Weston's art. Highly recommended.
