I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are Sir Edmund Blackwell and his dead wife's cousin Gwyneth. They meet as a result of Edmund's father-in-law who arranges their marriage - but with strings attached! Edmund faces the challenge of having to learn to trust his new wife while being on the look out for hidden traps and threats from his father-in-law while...

American authors write for American readers. But when they place their characters in Elizabethan England they have a major problem. If you like English characters speaking Americanisms, two dimensional characters and a slight plot, then you will like this book.

I really enjoyed this book. The main characters are Sir Edmund Blackwell and his dead wife's cousin Gwyneth. They meet as a result of Edmund's father-in-law who arranges their marriage - but with strings attached! Edmund faces the challenge of having to learn to trust his new wife while being on the look out for hidden traps and threats from his father-in-law while Gwyneth is determined that her marriage is going to be based on love.
