4.0 out of 5 stars enjoyable reading
i disagree with the previous review, although these stories are a bit predictable (hence 4 stars not 5),i really enjoyed these books and read them in a day.delighful charactors and four sexy "gentlemen".
I think you are always guarenteed an enjoyable read with whatever you get from lori foster and have tried to get all of her works.

"Once and again" is in fact two contemporary novelettes centred on a family of four hunkey brothers living together with their nephew, in a sprawling residence just outside the country town of Buckhorn, Kentucky. It Follows the fate of the oldest two men, Sawyer, a gorgeous doctor who falls for a stranded stranger Honey (yeah I know..) who's running for her life and his brother the gruff, but equally sexy town Sheriff, Morgan, who reluctantly succumbs to cupids target when he finally meets Honey's sister, Misty.
I came to "Once and Again" having read Foster's erotic romance, 'Too much temptation'(quite sexually explicit so not for the faint of heart). This is no where near as good. Foster has a real talent for creating nice characters and good dialogue and the lazy humour between the brothers does keeps you turning the pages. However, the obligatory bedroom scenes, though quite steamy, are heavy handed and tired and although I preferred the second of the two stories, it was weighed down my so much dialogue and once the premise of, 'I want to protect her but am hesistant to say I love her..." is established there didn't seem much more to it. The intrigue in Honey's story was silly and totally unconvincing and since it seems, either Foster can't write suspense or couldn't within the constrain of a little novelette do it justice, she should really have just concentrated on the romance as she did with the second story. On a par with Julie Garwoods Colorado novels, all in all I'd have to say that although I've read worse, I was disappointed because I know that Lori Foster can do much better.
