This review is from: Confound and Destroy (Hardcover)
I read a previous review of "Confounding the Reich" in which the reviewer referred to this book - boy was he right!( Thanks "A Customer"). Packed from front to back with technical information and based on the authors University thesis. The only thing that could improve it would be some circuit diagrams of the equipment and circuit operation descriptions (there aren't any), but then it would need 10 Stars. If you have ANY interest in the technical aspects of early electronic warfare, this is the book to fill in all of the details. I've been an aircraft enthusiast for 40 years studying WWII and even I didn't appreciate the sheer EXTENT of the work of 100 group, albeit for only the last 2 years of the war. For a gentle introduction I would recommend that you read Price's "instruments of Darkness" first, then this book. Don't expect fancy, wordy passages, it's fact, fact, fact, picture, fact, all the way through.
