5.0 out of 5 stars Tanni is so inspirational!, 10 Nov 2001
By A Customer
I could not put this book down! Tanni has had such an exciting life full of amazing sporting achievements and it is really interesting to read about what goes on behind the scenes at competitions such as the Olympics. The book is written in a really down to earth and humorous style, so you can really identify with Tanni and her experiences.
This is easily the most enjoyable autobiography I've read, due to Tanni's sense of humour, enthusiasm and fascinating story.

Brilliant! What more can I say? An excellent read which gives an amazing insight into the life of a world class athlete. Tanni's warmth and humour shines through. Her ability to live her life to the full is an inspiration, not only to disabled people, but to people everywhere! A truly remarkable read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth a read - whether you like sport or not!, 18 Aug 2003
This review is from: Seize the Day: My Autobiography (Paperback)
As I'm not a bit follower of any sport and know next to nothing about disability sports, I read this by chance and without any preconceptions.
It is written in a chatty style and, typically of an autobiography, Tanni describes her life chronologically; from a childhood including a struggle to go to a mainstream school to her life now as an mother and, more famously, a world class athlete.
While it was an addictive and enjoyable read, at times I felt that Tanni repeated herself too often (particulary when talking about her views on the publics' perception of dissability sports) and towards the end I began skipping paragraphs (hence 4 stars instead of 5). Nonetheless, it is well worth reading and definately heightened my interest in and knowledge of wheelchair athletics!
