Does it matter II?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Conversations with God - II: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk. 2 (Hardcover)
Once again. Does it matter if it's from God or not? Does it matter if it mentions Jesus or passes the ridiculous Jesus litmus test as someone mentioned? So what if it doesn't mention Jesus in the first 20 pages or at all. The point is that the message is a good one. Those of you that are having trouble parting with your limiting views of the world be it for your religious programming or what not, should read this book for the overall message not for its claim that its from God. Once again, the message does not contradict Jesus or the Bible in any way, for Jesus said love thy neighbor as you love yourself, and that in no way differs from what is being said here. If you don't like the statement that Hitler went to heaven in this book, then think about what Jesus said about forgiveness, and turning the other cheek. People need to learn to love unconditionally, this is very important if we are ever to evolve into the Unity that religions themselves claim to be taking us to. The bible itself tells us not to judge others, yet we, both individually and as organized relgions, love to jump and judge everyone, especially those that do not agree with our religious views. If you get nothing from this or the other 2 books, then get that. Don't judge. Love everyone. You shall see how your world becomes better instantly. I recommend to everyone to buy this book. It has a lot of value in it. The first one too. Who cares if it was God or not? Do not take it as gospel, take it for the value (and lessons) you can get out of it. Enjoy.

Better than Book One in some ways. Excellent,
By Tim Burness (Brighton, England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk.2 (Paperback)
For souls with an open mind! And Book 2 is not just more of Book 1. If you are new to the Conversations With God books it is as good a place to start as any. Walsch and God continue the dialogue begun in the first book, expanding on many of the themes already discussed there. It deals more in specifics and the social implications of a new awareness of God, in oneself and in all of life. The quality and intelligence of the writing is outstanding as it is in all of the CWG series. Some of the topics discussed are the nature of time (some very interesting science), organized religion (how religion actively separates man from a direct experience of God), sexuality (including a reference to masturbation!) and education (three core concepts of awareness, honesty and responsibility are suggested). "You must stop seeing God as separate from you and you as separate from each other" is proposed as the basis for all government and politics. Of course Walsch and God are making all this up as they go along... which is exactly the point! Walsch and God ask us to tell the truth to ourselves and each other. "It is always your new thought that creates your reality". Still inspirational a few years after I first read it.

Challenge yourself to believe again!,

This review is from: Conversations with God - II: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk. 2 (Hardcover)
All my life I have battled with my beliefs and as to their validity regarding God. Everything I watched on tv or heard in the church, no matter how hard I tried to believe, felt wrong, miscommunicated, and not the true word of God. I turned my beliefs and realizations inward, crystalizing what I believed to be right in my heart and soul. Then I read this book, and was stunned, amazed, and filled with joy. Almost everything expressed in this book were identical to what I believed to be true. Ever since I have started reading this book, I have found a true sense of peace I thought I would never feel. I have been telling all my friends to buy this book and read it! Open you mind, let go of your hatred, disbelief. Don't fall prey to those relegious teachers who would have you believe this book is blasphemus. God never stopped talking, we just stopped listening.

If you've read Book One, then books two and three are a must. I was sceptical when I first started reading Book One, but there is a such an intuitive logic to 'God's' responses, that this series becomes a really deep and profound work. If you have very firmly held religious beliefs, then this series may not be for you; as there is quite a lot of questioning as to the validity of some religious dogma. If you are open minded about man's relationship with God (or even an unbeliever), then this series is for you.

Another essential read - open your mind, then the book.,
This review is from: Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk.2 (Paperback)
Many will dismiss this for its most challenging passages. Thankfully, most will read without undue prejudice. An excellent description of a path to geopolitical sanity.Sadly not a step-by-step guide, but one the most important books in print nevertheless. If you can read Book 1 first, do so. Buy it!

Life changing books. They give us a look at God from a loving and nurturing place. Those who feel that these books are a contradiction to the Bible have only been reading the words. There is nothing said in the books that cannot be found in the Bible including quotes from Jesus. I feel that CWG takes most of the traditional teachings from all religions and expands on them in a way that makes them more attainable. I came away from reading these books with the feeling that God is always there for me in a way that my religion has never done. I think that the problem that critics have with these books is the fear that if we believe these books could possibly be from God, could that mean that the religions we have all been practicing be wrong. Really read these books and you will see God is not against our religions and traditional beliefs but wants us to see that they are limiting us and there is so much more. Maybe we should use these books along with the Bible to bring more love and life to our existing religions. These books will be as important to me as my Bible is.

STILL IMPACTING MY LIFE!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Conversations with God - II: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk. 2 (Hardcover)
I read book II in 1998 and it changed my life because I did exactly what was stated in the book, I "threw away all that I thought I know about GOD and went on a new adventure". I am now listening to the tapes of book II and I am having a new experience with GOD because I did not live some of the things I had read, now I will remember to live what I know. As I listen to the tapes I marvel at Neale Donald Walsch (the author) because he is truly asking the questions that we all should ask. I intermittently think of and thank Neale Donald Walsch for being so brave to put into print "Conversations with GOD I, II, III.

Thank GOD for this book!,

This review is from: Conversations with God - II: An Uncommon Dialogue: Bk. 2 (Hardcover)
I loved book one so much I read it the first time in just two days (while recovering from surgery!). I could not have anticipated that the 2nd book could be equally profound, especially since I had heard some people say it was hard to understand. But something moved me to get it anyway and see for myself. Am I glad I did. It has verified my fears about what we are now creating, but at the same time it has given me so many new avenues to investigate in helping steer a new course. I have always wanted to be a part of the solution. Now I have a narrowed field of what the most auspicious first steps are, steps I can take in my own life and thereby help to create worldwide. To quote the book, "If the whole world followed you, would you be pleased with where you took it?" This book makes the creation of a life that answers "Yes" so much more accessible.

Please please ignore the negative bleatings from the institutionalised Christian reviewers you've already read! You need to approach these books with an open mind that they clearly do not have. If you do, you'll be challenged and mindblown at the same time. This book began a process that changed my entire life! I hate religious dogma and so does God, it seems! Read all the 'Conversation with God' books and see for yourself that he/she (God) is alive and DOES care about our struggles and DOES want to help us back on the right track in a modern and refreshingly helpful way. If you can't see that when you read these books, then you're part of the reason why this world is in such a sad and sorry state...
