Tim Rice has written a really great book. He tells the story of his life, up to the opening of Evita. His style is charming and witty, making this book a funny though fascinating read.
I only wish I knew when the second volume was due, I will certainly be buying it.
I recommend this book highly!

Tim Rice has proved to be quite inteligent all his life. And so, the history of his life is, of course, a very inteligent book. To me, as a superfan of Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita, it has been very thrilling to learn things about the making of these works. And I also found very moving to see that in some aspects, Rice feels the same as I do. (For example, his favourite verse in JCS was my favourite too: "To conquer death you only have to die"). I laughed, I was surprised, I was shocked and it left me wanting more. You must read it.
