5.0 out of 5 stars A most interesting book, 2 Aug. 1999
By A Customer
People who buy a Peerage should realise that it is primarily about Peers. Although Debrett's is admittedly short of family history that does not make it useless at all, especially for anyone who is interested in the Peerage system. In my view Debrett's is one of those wonderful pieces which gives you the first glimpse of a World of Heraldry, of Pomp and of Pageant. This book is a very good way of keeping alive England's glorious heritage.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's one of a kind, 16 Sept. 1998

Of course its not for doing personal family-tree research, its a Peerage ! And, as such, it is number one in the field - until the next Burke's anyway !!
It does what it sets out to do perfectly, and surely you'd only spend this kind of money if you know what it is, and that it is what you want !!
