Easy read, but lacked depth
on 12 August 2005
If you can suspend all cynicism, and take this book for what it is, it's a nice feel-good, slightly one-dimensional, quick read. I enjoyed it, but found it lacked depth and was a bit 'syrupy': good if you don't want to really concentrate or think about anything. If you enjoy a hopeful and uplifting story, are interesting in life's big questions of life and death (told in a fairly simplistic way), then this book is for you. If you're looking for a deep meaningful reflection of these questions, or your cynicism always shines through, stay away.
