a great book of some 190 pages with all of the common species of butterfly and moth, both pinned and in situ, which makes identification easy. The descriptions are very good also.

I bought this book second hand and while it might be an old edition the information is as accurate today as it was then. The price of 1 penny plus postage must be the deal of trhe year!

I have started raising butterflies and trapping moths as a new hobby, The contents of this book are well laid out. and are both educational and informative. The photographs are superb and one can easily identify the butterflies and what food they feed on. Although A4 in size the book is not too heavy to carry around.

A really nice book with readily identified photographs both of pinned insects and in natural positions. M y only gripe is that though the butterflies are extensively covered , more moths could have been included. Thoroughly recommended though, especially at the price!
