This review is from: Veronica at the Wells (Piccolo Books) (Paperback)
I first read this book as a kid, and rereading it now as an adult I loved it just as much, if not more. This book follows the story of Veronica Weston as she begins her training at the Sadlers Wells ballet school. I really recommend that you read the whole of this series (there are 14 books altogether) as many of the main characters, such as Veronica, Sebastian and Caroline, and not forgetting the awful Fiona, reappear throughout the series. The Sadlers Wells books are not only about ballet though, as parts of the books are set in Northumberland. In this book the highlight has to be watching the romance between Veronica and Sebastian develop, plus watching Veronica going through all the struggles to become a great ballerina. I have read these books many times and always find them a brilliant read!

5.0 out of 5 stars For ballet lovers, 7 Mar 2014
This review is from: Veronica at the Wells (Piccolo Books) (Paperback)
This book is still going strong. I read it as a child when I was a ballet lover and my niece discovered it recently - which encouraged me to take a sneaky re-read of it as an adult!
I'd say it's still a must-read for young ballet fans even though things have changed in the ballet world since the book was written. The characters are strong and believable. Exciting story-line.

This story was good and unexpected in places. Very interesting.
I think the story would appeal to girls who have an interest in ballet.
