OK, so there have been plenty of reviews about the content of this book and frankly, I've nothing to add. It's useful both as a reference and as a learning tool. Very good all round as far as I'm concerned. Now, here's the bit about the construction - mine hasn't fallen apart yet. Maybe mine is later 'improved' stock or perhaps I just got lucky, but I have no complaints with pages falling out. Yet - I'll revisit this review if it happens!

Love Scott's style and sharing of new techniques and where tools have been improved. Anyone who is looking for the latest tips on new features can't go wrong with this book. I bought the Kindle version and found it very handy as I could just flick between Photoshop and the ebook.

Like all books produce by Scott Kelby it's a great visual feast of images with every useful tip and workaround that's possible.
I went for the digital version on this occasion for the first time so the heavier book didn't keep sliding off my lap or clutter my desk top when trying to work from it. This downloaded onto my Ipad, my phone and both my PC & Laptop. It's a great book and it's so easy to read and follow and Scott knows Adobe products like no other. I've even been a member of NAPP an organisation run by Scott that has so many videos to teach you anything about photography, photoshop or lightroom. And the images he gives you to use are great.
I will only ever purchase his books unless he advises me to try someone elses, which is usually someone he has worked with on a particular subject, such as compositing.

Having recently switched to shooting and processing RAW, this book gave a useful overview of how one photographer integrates Camera Raw / Lightroom with (occasional) Photoshop adjustments to create sharp, punchy images. Those looking for an in depth look at all Photoshop offers might be disappointed, but for those like me who are looking for insight into how a photographer uses the Adobe tools to enhance images day to day, this book is helpful. Kelby's writing is pretty much idiot proof, and he has a daft streak, which I like. This book is all about Kelby's way of doing things, and because of this, achieves a depth and detail that would not be possible if he was trying to cover all bases.

If you have Photoshop CS6 then you need this book. Why spend a fortune on the software and then not make the most of it?

I have the previous versions for CS3 and CS5 and thought long and hard before buying it. But the software has moved on. And if it is worth the extra money to upgrade to CS6 then it is worth the extra money to buy this book. Yes, there is a lot that is the same but there is also a lot that has changed and which you do in a different way because of different algorithms.

Without this book you do not get the full benefit of the software. Like owning a Ferrari and driving at 50 mph on the motorway. Why would you?

Easy to use step by step instructions on using Photoshop by Scott Kelby in his usual wisecracking witty American way! Very useful and easy to use, good for beginners and the more advanced.

I have had a number of Scott's books in the past and have found them easy to read and follow, plus they are well illustrated. They can be read in one go or dipped into as required to look up specific actions. Scott Kelby has a way of working and organising that is worth considering if you are starting from scratch, keeping you out of problems at a later date. In my case rescuing my work flow and teaching me short cuts and new ways of achieving tasks. After buying a new program for any Photoshop related subject, I now buy one of his books to lessen the learning curve.

I love this book as I have the previous ones. However, the book is badly bound and is falling to bits after a short time. I will try and sort this out with amazon.

Within one day the spine had broken. The replacement is still holding together, just.
Content clear and concise. Good book spoilt by poor build.
