4.0 out of 5 stars A very interesting account
The Prince of Wales is one of the few men that from birth have been ear-marked for such a specific and high profile role. Unlike most biographies, his early childhood is remarkably interesting. Jonathan Dimbelby has been given unique access of HRH's personal correspondance, and this has helped greatly to add historical accuracy to the book. A great read, and thoroughly...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hardly an itimate portrait.

A rather glossy portrait of an extraordinary man born to be our next king. Prince Charles is a multi faceted man and each of the facets need to be examined more minutely. It is respectful, as it should and yet his disastrous marriage to a very ill woman is not described in enough detail. The poor prince had great problems in this first marriage to a woman who had married the title and not the man. Luckliy his relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles, gave him affection and love, with a normal life.
