Ann Spangler comes up trumps again. Her studies are relevant, interesting, easy to read, and helpful. This book is ideal for personal use, and could easily be adapted for group use. By starting at the beginning of the book with Adam, and working your way through it to Paul, you also have a good overview of the Bible.

I bought this book after working through Women of the Bible, and it's equally good. It's nice to explore the Word through the stories of the people in it, and there are explanations at the beginning to set the scene and historical context. The questions are useful for guiding your study. Highly recommeded.
