Very well written, part autobiographical, part introduction to the American legal system.
Many of his stories are about the significant legal developments in America over the last fifty or so years from someone who has a front row seat. These developments reflect the changes in American society in that time and his observation of these changes gives a good insight into life in the US as well as reflecting his own character and political and moral views.
His experience as a professor is obvious in the quality of his storytelling and explanation/simplification of the complex legal issues.
Really enjoyed it.
