Good Ideas & Pretty Projects - not quite enough information
on 14 January 2007
I will start by saying that I do like this book. It does inspire me to try many of the techniques shown. I certainly will be adapting some of the patterns, too.
Why not just make the lovely patterns as they are?
Well, the yarn is difficult and expensive to find in the UK. There is no information on alternatives beyond "or other suitable yarn". The size ranges for some items are reasonable 32" to 42" but at least one is available in 32" bust only, and others seem to be rather vague.
Gripe over, I can say that this book would inspire a keen crocheter to have a go at the patterns or even to attempt to design their own crochet lace garments.
This inexpensive book is still value for money and I would recommend it to anyone with some crochet experience.
