2.0 out of 5 stars Never trust a junkie....
If you want to read a book about how addiction turns a talented artist into an abusive, self obsessed w#####r then buy the book. There's no insight in here - this is misery, not ministry.

4.0 out of 5 stars The real deal crazy rocker., 21 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Ministry (Hardcover)
I have been a fan of Jourgenses for more than 1/4 of a century (time flies) and was interested in this autobio. Firstly this guy is the real deal crazy rockstar he makes Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy seem like nuns, Being a heroin/cocain/alcohol addict its a wonder he has lasted so long never mind creating some of the most original and interesting music over the last 30years. You can read between the lines with this autobiography and see his insecurities, huge ego and need to show off. He has had a slow car crash of a life and likes to feel sorry for himself but maybe lots of geniuses are like that. A very interesting read but not a happy one, a view into the mind of a mad genius.

Fantastic book so far, about 30% through and loving it. Been a fan since 92 and this is a real insight to how they came to be, what went on behind the scenes and what a genuine guy Al seems to be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Life according to Al, 3 Dec 2014
Wow, what a life and it ain't over yet, at least he put the needles down and has started living ;-)))))) he should have listened to me in the short time I worked for him, silly boy.

A good read on how NOT to do it and how a woman can save a life .........worth saving.

This review is from: Ministry (Hardcover)
Al's a true rock star living example rock star lifestyle that would be enough for more than one man. It is a great, intense and fun book. If you ever wanted to be a rock star read it and you feel it without having to live through this by yourself saving your time, money and health.
