3.0 out of 5 stars 'Loaded With Movie Stills'?, 6 Aug. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Death on the Cheap: The Lost B Movies of Film Noir (Paperback)
Well, the text looks great and informative although haven't actually read it yet as it just arrived - I just wanted to comment on the statement above. This is on the text on the back of the book - there are a mere x30 stills of the very poorest quality you can imagine. It's a shame such a worthwhile subject has not been 'loaded' with decent quality movie stills like the classic 'Dark City' by Eddie Muller which I would recommend very highly (not just for the awesome stills). I was expecting a better looking book although I can't comment on the non-photographical content which does look very useful.

Last note regarding these stills: aside from only having a few photos and not being 'loaded', it is the terrible quality of the printing rather than the source material that is at fault. Da Capo Press should have made a better job of it I guess.
