5.0 out of 5 stars Building on sure foundations, 12 May 2011

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Worcestershire Revised Edition (Buildings of England) (Pevsner Architectural Guides: Buildings of England) (Hardcover)
This thoroughly revised and expanded volume covers the broad range of the more architecturally interesting buildings in Worcestershire, including many more post-war & modern buildings than were included in the previous edition, and accompanies the descriptions with many more quality photographs (including a good number in colour).
On a personal note, I am glad to see that a number of former colleagues are given credit for their (not always appreciated) efforts to give Worcestershire a good range of modern buildings - especially schools, libraries and other public buildings.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great guide to Worcestershire, 30 Aug 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Worcestershire Revised Edition (Buildings of England) (Pevsner Architectural Guides: Buildings of England) (Hardcover)
At first encounter this seems a weighty tome. Indeed it is however it is so arranged and set out as to offer a comprehensive guide to the county a bit at a time. Like other books of this type it is for taking with you on your travels rather than being read from cover to cover in a single sitting. Look up your own county and you will see what l mean. There are lots of illustrations to guide you through the pages.
