This is the standard work on Mozart, beautifully translated and updated with lots of footnotes giving the latest position on each work. There are full indexes so it is easy to find the discussion of any particular Mozart work you are interested in. Abert's critical opinions are shrewd and penetrating, the historical information is accurate and the Mozart lover has all he needs to get himself orientated with virtually any Mozart work.
The books is produced in one large volume the size of a dictionary and it is quite heavy. The paper and binding are good. I would get the hardback - this will last you the rest of your life and it's really astonishingly cheap for what it is.
