5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Informative Book, 26 Aug. 2004
This review is from: Invisible Worlds: Exploring the Unseen (Hardcover)
This book is absolutely stunning. The moment I opened the cover I was captivated by beautiful images, based entirely on science. From coloured pictures of cells dividing, and cancers invading the skin down to false colour images from bubble chambers, this book has is amazing in its diversity. I would recomend this to anyone interested in science, abstract art etc. This book has something for everyone, people who just want to look at the pictures will be enthralled as will people wanting to learn a little more about them!
One of the most appealing images is of western europe, taken from the sky at night, showing the lights from major cities and flares from North Sea platforms - all the major cities are clearly identifiable. There were many, many images in this book that I wanted to remove and frame - I just don't have enough wall space for them all...!
