Touch ironical that Amazon - recently outted as an immoral tax avoider (hiding behind the figleaf of 'legality' doesn't wash) should be hawking a book on the Taxation Finance Act 2012 - excellent though the book and the author may be. Corporate tax is converted into such social goods as hospitals, schools, social housing etc etc so a company that fails to pay its whack is best characterised as a parasite on the country within which it operates. Amazon are happy enough to take money from the citizens of the UK - perhaps they should man up and pay a fair share of corporate taxation on the profits taken from those citizens. Shame on the directors of Amazon for their current tax avoidance policies. Play fair or go back home to the lands of the 'free'!
