1.0 out of 5 stars Good grief it's hard work...
I bought the earlier version of this book and found it impenetrable. Not only is it very hard work it's also soul soul-destroyingly boring. This guy should be locked up because he's a danger to himself and others. If you're looking for interesting information, look elsewhere. All you'll be doing here is reaching for the aspirin.

If you're looking for bedtime reading or a gripping narrative then this isn't it. Clearly. It doesn't claim to be. What it is is a very solid, authoritative reference book on not only the financial pages, but also the "bigger picture" relating to investment.

I highly recommend it for demystifying the investment landscape and giving meaning to countless acronyms. It's not so esoteric after all.

For something to read alongside this, I'd recommend Burton Malkiel's "A Random Walk Down Wall Street". That is less of a reference book and more of a narrative in style at least.
