Of course, this is THE compilation of essays on consciousness. As far as I can see, every important topic and idea within the field is discussed. What I can't see is why the original essays often are not included. Nagels "What it is like" is there, but Searles "Minds, Brains and programs" and Jackson "Epiphenomenal qualia" has been replaced by recently written summaries (by the original authors) of the debate following their publication. I would have liked the original texts better.
