This is an excellent book. It is illustrated in colour throughout, has an accompanying cd and is extremely informative. It was just what I was looking for! It is aimed at people with a good knowledge of Flash, who want to push the boundaries further and wish to utilise cinematic techniques more effectively. The book looks at camera placement, composition, motion, lighting, editing and sound and as it says in it's introduction - it provides the tools to advance the story and elevate the emotional impact for the audience. I have already got lots of post it reference notes in most chapters, so that I can refer back to topics such as camera movement, backgrounds, racking focus and sound. I could not put the book down when it arrived. I teach animation and have recommended this book to students who are interested in using Flash for animation. I highly recommend this book if you are interested in using Flash for animation!
