5.0 out of 5 stars Healing in the midst of our brokenness, 14 May 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Broken Body: Journey to Wholeness (Paperback)
This very poetic and personal book has a message and vision that has touched a lot of people. Having left his life as first a marine-officer and then a university teacher of philosophy, Vanier started the first l'Arche community, living together with mentally handicapped people. The experience of his peronal journey, and that of the l'Arche communities now spread across the world, is the solid ground on which he shares a vision of wholeness, healing and hope with us. It is a book about the very core of humanity and the very core of Christianity.

This review is from: The Broken Body: Journey to Wholeness (Paperback)
Anything from Vanier is worth reading, and this is no exception. Written in poetic form, it points us to the Christ we meet everyday, especially in 'broken' humans.
