4.0 out of 5 stars Must read for anyone who wants to understand the modern business game of football
Excellent whether you follow FC Barcelona, Man City or are responsible for driving your business in a global competitive market. Insights into the logic of decisions taken in the soccer boardroom and from an author who has actually delivered the goods in practice. Really useful for anyone looking to assess their real market and how to position your business in the best...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sorriano : Management & Business Guru ??
It was ok as a read..... populist & quite amusing on the anecdotal front & as an insight into how modern clubs put together their commercial strategies & balance the books.
However, what takes a lot away from it is simply the fact that Mr Sorriano presided over Spanair as their president & was responsible for destroying the airline & leaving countless passengers...

Excellent whether you follow FC Barcelona, Man City or are responsible for driving your business in a global competitive market. Insights into the logic of decisions taken in the soccer boardroom and from an author who has actually delivered the goods in practice. Really useful for anyone looking to assess their real market and how to position your business in the best place for the desired result and progress you expect to achieve. Looking good for MCFC under Ferran! CTID.

It was ok as a read..... populist & quite amusing on the anecdotal front & as an insight into how modern clubs put together their commercial strategies & balance the books.
However, what takes a lot away from it is simply the fact that Mr Sorriano presided over Spanair as their president & was responsible for destroying the airline & leaving countless passengers stranded all over the world & airline workers un-paid as the airline went belly up one day to the next....
I don't see him as a business guru..... just another opportunist with an MBA who got out of Spain quickly after the Spanair saga & got his hands into that trough of Gulf money as quick as he good ....
Spanair was a scandal & anyone living in Spain or following the Spanish media knows this & knows that Sorriano was ultimately responsible whilst he & his cronies walked away with fat-cat payoffs.
