5.0 out of 5 stars Our eighteen month old loves this book!, 16 April 2000
By A Customer
Our son has learnt so much from this book in three weeks we have had it - he shows us nasty and nice, high and low, fast and slow . It has cemented the concept of opposites for him and also the concept of words expressing feelings. We think it is an amazing little book.

Simpkin is a fun rhyming book which introduces babies and toddlers to opposites. The illustrations are full of fun, and the text, whilst simple, is more entertaining to read than other books of this kind.

This review refers to the paperback edition of 'Simpkin' published in 1995 by Red Fox.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simpkin, 5 Oct 2011
Simpkin has to be one of Quentin Blake's best stories ever. He has created a memorable and hilarious character in the shape of Simpkin. This book tells the story of a boy who is obsessed with opposites. Simpkin this and Simkin that... until, one day... well, I won't spoil it for you by revealing the ending! Quentin Blakes beautifully illustrations bring this marvelous character to life. This book is great because of its ridiculous and funny 'opposite' story.

A Kid's Review
This is a very funny book- you should definitely read it!
The story tells you all about Simpkin. He is very intelligent and he changes on every page. It is very good for young children to show different describing words. The illustrations are brilliant and you can not put the book down.
