I bought this book as a supplement for an introduction course in biopsychology. The book is very well written, with pedagogical steps for how to make the material stick - and it really works! There was not much information about the functions of the brain structures or parts, but the brain anatomy was relatively well presented.

This review is from: A Colorful Introduction to the Anatomy of the Human Brain: A Brain and Psychology Coloring Book (Paperback)
I bought this book as a supplement for an introduction course in biopsychology. The book is very well written, with pedagogical steps for how to make the material stick - and it really works! By coloring brain structures you learn in a fun and involved way, be sure to do as the book says and read all text and do the review questions, this will help ensure learning. The text is very informative, and it is easy to follow.

Concepts such as memory, language and sleep ++ is also discussed, although I think this works best as a way for us beginners to structure our information about the brain and learn where different parts are and what they do.

The book is meant to be introductory, and if you are looking for something more detailed and complicated I would recommend "The Human Brain Colouring Book (Coloring Concepts Series)" by Diamond, Scheibel and Elson. Especially if you are studying medicine, physiology or anatomy at a higher level.

I would absolutely recommend this book for anyone interested in the brain, psychology or basic anatomy!

Excellent book. Complements my Open University Biological Psychology module. Very detailed and makes a good change from heavy text books. Find the colouring very therapeutic!
