5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, 29 Aug 2011
This review is from: Revision Notes for the MRCOG Part 1 (Oxford Specialty Training: Revision Texts) (Paperback)
One week away from Part 1 and i wish i'd bought this weeks ago...

This is written in a format that explains answers to a lot of the questions in the green book. Information is presented in a way that is easy to assimilate and provides everything you need to know in bullet points. There are also useful diagrams explaining relationships between anatomical structures as well as for embryology. I have other part 1 books (fell into the trap of the more books the better i feel) but by comparison this is far superior!

Especially good are the sections on anatomy and embryology - thank you!

And...just for the record, I passed the exam!

This book covers almost everything you need for part one, it is so easy to read, much better than the college's essential revision guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the only two books you need, 24 Nov 2012

Unfortunately I spent a small fortune on books for Part 1, you shouldn't make the same mistake! You obviously NEED "the green book" of past papers, familiarity with this is your main revision tool. Otherwise, I ended up using just this book and Wikipedia - passed first time!

It is very concise, with easy to understand bullet points and diagrams. Pretty sure I wouldn't have passed without it.
