A little gem
If you have a reasonably basic grasp of grammar, you will find this book a little gem that can be carried around with ease. I've gifted a copy to many EFL teachers in Ukraine and most if not all find it a very useful quick source of reference. It's a real bargain from Amazon.

Useful
This book is useful to have with you if like me you are starting things like Open University and it helps remaind you of all the things you may have forgotten since leaving school.

A good quick reference, 9 Aug 2005
The grammar is a little patchy but the punctuation entries are excellent as quick guides (to solve problems when writing or teaching without having to plough through hundreds of pages of 'exceptions' to rules).

Great Pocket Size book that contains all the information you really need. Well worth purchasing whether you are studying or you just need it for general information.

Oxford A-Z of grammar and punctuation, 20 Oct 2009
It would have been better if the book is referred to 'a hand book ' of grammar. It is not a detailed grammar book. This information was missing, I was actually expecting a big book that covers grammar in details. The catch was the 'Oxford'. I would have wanted to know that it covers some aspects of grammar scantily and not A-Z as the title claims.

Very good reference book. I purchased it for my office in the hopes that those educated after 1970 will read and digest.

This book is perfectly adequate for my purposes, it certainly (in my opinion) is not the bad buy some reviewers would like others to think.
