5.0 out of 5 stars A really great introduction to Syriac, 10 Mar 2004
This review is from: Robinson's Paradigms and Exercises in Syriac Grammar (Paperback)
This little book is a joy to use. It's clear, accurate, thorough, has plenty of exercises, and all vowels are shown in the Syriac script throughout the book, which gives it a big advantage over Thackston's 'Introduction to Syriac' which leaves you battling with vowelless Estrangelo script. The typeface, both in English and in Syriac, is beautiful, and the book is small enough to fit into your pocket so you can read it on the tube! A gem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the price., 24 Mar 2010

This review is from: Robinson's Paradigms and Exercises in Syriac Grammar (Paperback)
This is an excellent and handy resource for learning Syriac. The book assumes a working knowledge of Hebrew yet it sets out the exercises in short and manageable chapters. It is expensive for such a small paperback but well worth the extra price for the benefits to learning.
