5.0 out of 5 stars Fundamental
Seems rather impossible to 'rate' Aristotle's work with any authority. However, for those who shy away fearing the work will be too complex in the original the work is surprisingly readable and this edition provides useful explanations where appropriate.

5.0 out of 5 stars What to do in year 2000? Advice the greatest philosopher., 13 Sept. 1999
By A Customer
A book that many students must read and many business executives should read. For the non-specialist, reading is rather hard work. It is worth the effort if you are seriously interested in business ethics. Not much progress has been made since the book was published around 300 BC. The central meassge is that happiness is the result of acting virtuously. How to act virtuously is the main subject of the book. Acting virtuously is a question of character. A character can only be developed by practising virtues. Trial and error is an important part of this learning process.

He takes and shakes up lots of our "received wisdom" ideas about what it is to be ethical, what ethics are, what the "good life" is .So of course it's a classic!

Great book for beginners and experts alike. A must read if you are interested in virtue ethics.

The translation seems excellent although there are always academic disputes over some terms. If you are not a beginner, you can always start with this and expand as you go.

The delivery was great.
The price was great.

If you are interested in Nicomachean Ethics this is the book for you.

This book arrived in the time stated by the dispatch notification. I am now playing Cantata BWV 147 on the stereo and reading aloud from the book for some close friends.
