Anglophones wishing to read Old Norse / Old Icelandic literature have two main dictionaries to choose from, Cleasby-Vigfusson and Zoega. Cleasby-Vigfusson is by far the larger of the two and it does for Old Icelandic what LSJ does for Greek or Monier-Williams for Sanskrit. Zoega, on the other hand, is roughly comparable in scope to the "Middle Liddell" Greek dictionary. Both the Cleasby-Vigfusson and the Zoega are available on-line from the U.Penn. Germanic Lexicon Project, so you can peruse them at your leisure to see which would suit your needs better. I would have awarded five stars to C-V for its utility or perhaps only four because it's out of date (to approximately the same extent as the LSJ). But I'm only awarding three because of the book production: rather than having a proper "textured" cover like the LSJ or the OLD, the OUP have reprinted C-V with a glossy cover (and no dust-jacket), making it look like a cheap reprint.
