This review is from: Taffanel: Genius of the Flute (Paperback)
Any aspiring professional (or amateur) flute player cannot possibly spend any time with their flute without coming across the name of Claude-Paul Taffanel (known as Paul Taffanel) who was regarded as the founder the French Flute School and is the great grandfather of most professional flute players today. Edward Blakeman, himself a flute player of distinction as well as academic, charts his life and the music associated with him with consummate artistry. This is a book not to be missed by any flute student or music enthusiast.
