4.0 out of 5 stars Oxford Guide to Heraldry
Another second hand purchase but still in very good condition. As you would expect from the 'Oxford guides' book full of information covering every aspect of heraldry . one to dip in and out of as the need arises.

3.0 out of 5 stars Over use of jargon
The book on an initial read seems to assume knowledge of historical, I assume Medieval, jargon throughout the guide. A glossary of the jargon or layman's translation would make the book more accessible to the non academic reader.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 7 Jan 2011
This review is from: The Oxford Guide to Heraldry (Paperback)
I found this book very interesting and a great purchase. Although there are much more recent books, this one still is a great heraldry book, not only for the specific investigators but also for public in general.

Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The book on an initial read seems to assume knowledge of historical, I assume Medieval, jargon throughout the guide. A glossary of the jargon or layman's translation would make the book more accessible to the non academic reader.
