I avoided reading this book because i thought it was a bit childish but i just decided to read it one day and voila it is like a mix between the matrix and the thief lord.

4.0 out of 5 stars Rather Good, 19 July 2005

Artemis was wearing a bit thin so thought I'de give this a try. Was pleasantly surprised. The plot was complex, twisty and never let up on pace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic new adventure from the athour of Artemis Fowl, 7 Jun. 2004
This review is from: The Supernaturalist (Hardcover)
I got this the day it came out and had finished it by the next day. It was a truely fantastic read.
From start to finish Eoin Colfer has you hooked. He builds up the tension and atmosphere superbly.
The story follows young Cosmo Hill, an orphan and no-sponser from the Clarissa Frayne Institute for Parentally Challenged Boys. It is set in the not-so-distant future on Satellite City. Cosmo's short existance is expected soon to end - the life expectancy of a no-sponsor is fifteen years - Cosmo is fourteen. He knows he must get out, and seizes the chance ... but it goes horribly wrong. Cosmo's life hangs in the balance, with a strange blue parasite sucking out his life force. His resucers are a gang of tough, street-hardened kids, who know all the ways to survive in the harsh world that is Satellite City ... they are the Supernaturalists and Cosmo's new life and adventures are only just beginning ...
