What passion, what poetry - in reading the letters from Keats to Fanny, we relive his deep love for this young girl. In reading firstly the letters, we return in to the history of this age but the love he feels for her is something constant so we can identify his feelings even in this the 21st century. What a shame that there were no letters left from Fanny Brawne.
I saw the film and this prompted me to buy this book but I hadn't realised the depth of his love - this wasn't so evident in the film. To then read the poems, some of which had been inspired by her, makes this book a superb read.
