5.0 out of 5 stars The funnniest book ever written
There isn't much more to say. It might have been written over a century ago, but it is still an absolute corker of a novel. I first read it in a foreign library and had to keep running out of the door to burst into laughter. Available in lots of versions, including audiobook. I'm sure I've even seen a download version to read on your mobile phone somewhere! That shows...

2.0 out of 5 stars Technical Problem
Love the book, but unfortunately it froze halfway. Deleting and reloading didn't help so I suppose it must be a problem with the book itself.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I started this - I steer clear of reviews in case they have spoilers but I can honestly say that this book made me laugh more than any other I have ever read. In fact, there were tears when I read the part as they tried to open the tin of pineapple! Absolutely wonderful book.

Laughed out loud when reading it. So old fashioned (what was it they called a hammer/screwdriver?) but still so relevant and the places are still there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Yarn, 16 Nov. 2011
This review is from: Three Men in a Boat: To Say Nothing of the Dog (Penguin Classics) (Paperback)
A Classic. Wanted something easy to read. It is that. And a well written yarn. Dreamy days on the river in a bygone age, written in a romatic style. I could have read on, but the author ovbiously ran out of ideas or got fed up with the caracters. So many of them seem to though.

Brilliant story - so much fun. I have read somewhere that the pubs they visit are all still around along the Thames today. Very enjoyable - a classic.

Book in very good order and arrived way before it needed to. I haven't read it (in a queue of a dozen), but will write a review when done so.
